Objectives
Mi Camino Flamenco is an organization founded by Ian Fu with the prime objective of promoting authentic Flamenco music and encouraging friendly sharing of Flamenco Music for people in Asia and mainly for China and Hong Kong. The organization achieves this goal by conducting Flamenco Guitar class and workshop and giving performance for audience in Asia.
This website is designed and built to convey the message of the organization. It takes a name "Mi Camino Flamenco" with an intended meaning in English "My Way to Flamenco" , dedicating to those, including amateurs, aficionados, enthusiasts and professionals, working out his own way to learn Flamenco.
Founders
Being the principle founder, Ian Fu seeks to share Flamenco experience with public and organize Flamenco Performance in Asia, mainly in Hong Kong and China. Being the principle guitarist for the group, he is also the music director responsible for composing and arranging Flamenco Music for the performance.
Both Francis Siu and Jeff Kwan are founding members of the group and former student of Ian Fu. Francis Siu is a key player in the group and an experienced musician in his own rights, making significant contribution in participating major performance for the group.
Membership
There are two types of members in Mi Camino Flamenco:
(1) Performing Member
Performing Member are those who participate the group's performance on stage or backend support. Mi Camino Flamenco admits its students who complete the Flamenco Guitar Basic Course and people who share similar view on the Flamenco possessing knowledge and performance experience.
(2) Participating Member
Participating members are those invited by the group to join its events and activities without taking any parts of the group's public performance. This is for learners or friends keen to learn more about Flamenco.
